Su furriadroxiu

The name “Su furriadroxiu” derives from the Sardinian “furriài” (to retreat, to return) and therefore means “the place to return to”. The term is also associated with a single-family agro-pastoral settlement, typical of the land and agricultural structure of Southern Sardinia, now in disuse since the second half of the 20th century.
Built in the early 1900s in the historic center, it was the subject of two major renovations: a first in 1952, when following a flood that destroyed the town, the house was rebuilt maintaining the load-bearing structure and in particular the walls made of large blocks of granite and local stone; a second between 2023 and 2025, with which we tried to preserve the construction features, the original fixtures and furnishings where possible, and to implement equipment and facilities in order to guarantee well-being and comfort.
The house has its own independent accommodations: “Beranu” (meaning “spring”), the real heart of the house and “Istadi” (meaning “summer”) a two-room apartment on the first floor, both air-conditioned.
“Beranu” is located on the ground floor, is approximately 85 square meters large and has a large closed loggia onto which all the rooms overlook: equipped kitchen, double bedroom communicating (via stairs) with a twin bedroom, living area with sofa bed and TV, bathroom with shower.
“Istadi” is located on the first floor, is approximately 35 square meters large, and is composed of a closed loggia furnished with table, chairs, sofa and TV, equipped kitchenette, bedroom with two single beds (which can also be used as a double bed), bathroom with shower.
The property has a shared internal courtyard of approximately 80 square meters.
