This beautiful home is a perfect size for a family or a group of friends of 4 or 5 people. It has 2 complete bedrooms and a spare room with an extra bed. There are two very comfortable bathrooms with hot water.
The house sits on a small hill, offering great views to the sea and a superb sunset. You are going to spend most of your time on the big terrace, the hammock or the lounging chair wont let you to leave! A barbecue to enjoy home cooked meals will be there for your pleasure.
The spacious kitchen and the living room area have 3 beautiful doors that open to the terrace and big windows with jungle and sea views. It is full of day light and you will feel the Caribbean breeze even when you are cooking. The kitchen offers all kind of cooking utensils, including coffee pot, blender, juicer and oven. If you love milkshakes or smoothies and plan to cook at home this will be the perfect house for you!
In the living room you will find ample seating, with lots of cushioned comfort. There is a flat screen TV, a DVD player, and portable speakers for your convenience. The TV has USB capabilities and your stay will include a few movies on DVD for you to enjoy. There are also several books in the home that you may use freely to relax on the lounge chair and make the most of your Caribbean vacation.
The master bedroom has direct access to the terrace and offers a beautiful view of the Caribbean from the bed. There is a queen bed, a big wardrobe and a fan for your comfort. The second and the third bedrooms offer a double bed and big windows with jungle and sea views.
The area around the house is very peaceful, mostly Red Frogs jumping around and a sloth that visits the tree next to the house from time to time. There are a few friendly neighbours, but you will mostly hear the sea and the wildlife from the tropical forest. There is great fishing and snorkeling available right in front of the home. You will enjoy many hawks and various tropical birds just outside the multiple windows of the house.
You will have access to a private dock, where you can get a taxi to the other islands. There is a small beach in front of the house where you can take some sun, go swimming or snorkeling.
Getting around
The house is surrounded by nature and is located in the most privileged area of Bastimentos Island. At only 5min walking distance you have the "Eclypse de Mar" restaurant and a beautiful Natural Reserve.
You can also visit the typical Caribbean town by walking around 20min through a jungle-beach path or 2min by boat.
You are going to enjoy a lot arriving here by boat, the reference point is the Punta Rica cement dock in Bastimentos. In 10min you will be in Red Frog beach or Bocas Town, where you find most of the restaurants and bars. Water taxi cost $3/person to Bocas, drivers might charge more at night.
Other Things to Note
There is a washing machine for your use.
The house has a strong solar and water system, but this is still an eco-home so you need to be conscious about your use of energy and the current weather conditions.
