“Badia della Valle” is located in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Appenine Hills at 500meters above sea level. This marvellous biological farming-agriculture establishment has been owned and managed by the by the Catani family for many years. Its 172 acres sprawl across a peaceful valley that make up a tapestry of golden grain farming land and thick green woods. This area of Italy is famous for its wooded areas full of chestnuts and berries. During the month of October one can participate in the celebrated harvest of the “marron buono” ( premium chestnuts) that are certified IGP at the Marradi.
The interior of the “Badia della Valle” abbey is comprised of a restaurant, two rustic apartments and a small museum.
The Apartments
The interior of the “Badia della Valle” homestead is comprised of two rustic apartments The “Chestnut” and The “Oak”. The “Chestnut” is comprised of a large living room and adjoining kitchen furnished with a sofa-pull out bed, a master bedroom and bathroom.
The Oak is comprised of a living room and adjoining kitchen, loft which sleeps two, a master bedroom and bath.
A single sized cot can be added to either room upon request. They are furnished with an autonomous heating system and an iron wood burning stove. Wood for the stove can also be supplied upon request.
RATES
Apartments
The cost for each night is between 30 and 35€ depending on room availability
Children under the age of 6 years old stay for free and
those from the ages of 6-12 years old have a 50% discount on the adult price.


SERVICES
Bed sheets and towels are changed once a week, water gas and electricity are included
in the price of the room.
