Marina di Massa offers many interesting excursions: The Quarries of Carrara marble, the beautiful Lunigiana, rich in history and culture.
Lucca, Florence, Pisa and Siena can be reached in machine- train in less than an hour.
The "Cinque Terre", can be visited by land or by sea.
Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi with their luxury boutiques and their beautiful boulevards along the beach are within walking distance.
