Solidarity holidays - mozambico 2014: a million star holiday!

A solidarity holiday in Mozambique provides the perfect occasion to combine solidarity, acquaintance and relax. The voluntary service in the development projects consists of 4/5 hours a day, concentrated in the mornings thus giving ample time at disposition to meet the local community as well as sightseeing and excursions.

HUMANA proposes an authenic experience which provides the opportunity to have close contact with the local population and to become familiar with the way of life and culture.

WHY TRY A SOLIDARITY HOLIDAY?

At the same time it offers an emotional touristic experience: Nacala Bay with its Cashew and Baobab plantations, coral reefs and lively colourful markets. The added value of this experience is the interior enrichment with which one returns home: two weeks are certainly not enough to change the world but they can contribute to making a better life for someone and, who knows, maybe even your own!

The main aim is to contribute directly to a cooperation project for development in Mozambique, via an experience of understanding and volontary service on the spot. Our Solidarity Holiday offers an opportunity to have major insight to life and problems in Mozambique. It also provides an opportunity for the students in the tourism section of the Vocational School to increase their practical capabilities and to benefit from a grant.
Thanks to the participation fee allocated to this project, orfans and disadvantaged children will be able to frequent the school where their formation is aimed at future employment.

» Shuttle service to and from the airport in Mozambique (only for group arrivals and departures)

» On site visits to HUMANA projects (Five projects are under way in Nacala: a Teacher Training College, a Vocational School, preschools, the TCE (this project is for the prevention of HIV/AIDS) and an agricultural development project.
» Local transport for visits to the projects
» Eventual purchase of equipment connected with on site activities
» Excursion in a typical African sailing boat
