Numerous sixteenth-century writings refer to this old house in which you can admire frescoes dating from the twelfth and thirteenth centuries.
Caxigueiro House is located in the parish of Barbadelo, already mentioned in the Codex Calixtinus (XII) as a shelter for pilgrims, and offers travelers the opportunity to stop, take a break and enjoy nature. Its location, just a few meters from the Camino de Santiago (The Way French) and next to the Camino Real, allows you to keep the binding of the house with the pilgrimage.
Renovated in 2003, retaining all the flavor of the old Galician country house, House Caxigueiro stands out for its warmth, its calm and its careful decoration. Stone walls, chestnut beams and floors, solid wood furniture, working tools, large fireplace in front of which you can still hear the old stories about wolves, outdoor oven where you can sample some tasty dishes and delicious homemade liqueurs.
Lost in the southern province of Lugo, the house now offers to anyone who uploads hospitality and good food.
