Finca el tornero

The house named “El Tornero I” is the original house on the property and dates back to the beginning of the 18th century. In 1997 it was restored and converted into a holiday destination, preserving the traditional culture of the mountains by displaying antique farming tools throughout the house. Surrounded by chestnut trees and cork oaks, it’s the ideal setting for your holiday.

The house is made from rocks found on the property and Arabic roof tiles. The beautiful, wooden ceilings showcase chestnut trees as beams and pillars.
On the patio you can make good use of the barbeque pit to enjoy the renowned Iberian pork while enjoying the splendid views of the Aracena Mountains and Southern Extremadura.

This house shares a pool with the Tornero II house, located roughly 300 meters away. The pool, a short walk from both houses, is treated with saline, making it both hypoallergenic and eco-friendly. A patio table and chairs sit under a shaded area, and Chaise Lounges rest in the sun. The patio area and pool itself are fully lighted, so you can enjoy it day or night.
The living area consists of two levels separated by a few steps. The lower level is the dining area and the upper level is the sitting area with a spectacular stone fireplace as the focal point. The living area is decorated with warmth and comfort to complete the rustic ambiance.

The three bedrooms are directly off the main living area. In the first bedroom we find three single wrought iron beds, in the second a double wrought iron bed, and in the third, located at the top of a staircase, a grand wooden canopy bed and a sofa-bed. All the bedrooms are heated and furnished with an old fashioned look and feel.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, and features an old-fashioned red brick oven where bread was made in a time long past. The bathroom is complete with a shower and washing machine, and towels, sheets, and blankets are included.
