Timignano rural house

Podere Timignano, hidden not far from a small medieval village in the hills between Siena and Volterra, is a typical farm nestled on a small hill and surrounded by fields and woods. The farmhouse has been renovated with great care using precious stone artefacts salvaged from old churches and ruins. The striking oval swimming pool (10x6.5 m), paved in terracotta and stone, is at the end of a path shaded with trees behind the house.

Timignano has a very low environmental impact, producing most of its own energy through the use of photovoltaic and thermal solar panels.

A part of the main building of Timignano is occupied by an independent apartment with separate entrance, pergola equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a private terrace at the back where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets in the background of the nearby hills.

The apartment, which is accessed through a small loggia and a flight of stairs inside, consists of a modern and well- equipped kitchen/living room, a spacious bedroom and a smaller bedroom with two single beds (can be converted into a second double on request), and a bathroom with shower on the ground floor.

Fabio and Sarah, winemakers, olive oil and owners of Timignano, live in the other part of the house with their two children and they will be happy to welcome you on your arrival and help you if needed.
