Characteristics of the houses Jirdana :
The houses are located in a traditional architectural complex of El Hierro has been refurbished being born over 170 years ago. The complex consists of 2 houses belonging to the same owner. The buildings have been restored following the advice of the old masters of stone and wood, the craftsmen who still live on the island , based on ancient techniques. The works were carried out according to the guidelines for sustainable use of local stone , old wood from demolition , old tiles reuse , rainwater harvesting , solar hot water , etc. .

They are located in the town of Isora, on the central plateau of the island, in an ideal location to visit all the tourist attractions, landscape and ethnographic island. Jirdana is located 15 minutes from the airport , 20 minutes from Puerto de La Stake , 6 minutes from Valverde, the capital of the island and close to other towns on the island : Frontera and El Pinar .

The area surrounding the site is rural , traditional and eco-friendly , ideal for a few days of rest in contact with nature in its purest form.

The houses :

• House for the exclusive use (sleeps 4 ) typical structure of El Hierro gabled roof with wooden beams and tiled French morphology L, built with dry stone walls of varying thickness ( from 0.70 m to 1.5 m ) , that during the restructuring phase have been strengthened with a traditional whitewashed concrete , leaving exposed the stones more details.
This house dates from the early nineteenth century and consists of two levels: the first is the living room -kitchen, a bathroom, a courtyard where previously they celebrated events as the gatherings of family and friends after work in the fields, and a lovely garden from which you can admire the twin islands : La Gomera, Tenerife and Teide, with its " giant", on clear days. On the 2nd floor , the old barn , is accessed via an internal staircase and consists of a hallway between the two bedrooms ( one with double bed and one with 2 single beds) .

• House to share ( 6 beds) . It consists of three independent modules connected by a stone patio : the main building where the ground floor is the lounge room, kitchen and bathroom, and the upper floor , the tool shed , with the room Pta Marine Reserve .
Restinga ( 2 single beds) and a spectacular terrace that a customer has called "the balcony of El Hierro". Another, an old building located in the north, the Tiñor (double bed) and a third building, the Pajero, based in southern slope and consists of the Nisdafe room (double bed). All rooms have a full bathroom and air conditioning.

The houses are equipped with air conditioning with heat pump in all rooms , hot water , orthopedic mattresses, electric stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, satellite TV (with Freeview esters), iron, hair dryer, small appliances (blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc.), garden furniture, terrace and/or garden, cot/crib (under 2 years), dishes, linens winter or summer and enough towels.
