The villa is surrounded by greenery and has a magnificent view on the plateau of the Rocche : the high mountains which accommodate ancient villages perched along the slopes ( Rocca di Mezzo Rocca di Cambio and Oak ) , bordering the spectacular flat expanse that distinguishes the plateau .
The hill resorts Ciaccio in which we find ourselves is the ideal starting point for day tourism , both summer and winter : in addition to the many on-site activities , such as horseback riding or hiking , all tourist routes in the region are at hand even for short trips .
The municipality of Rocca di Mezzo is located in the heart of the ' Abruzzese Apennines , in the middle of all the best that our region has to offer , rich in historical and natural beauties , we are just minutes from all the most famous ski resorts in Abruzzo ( Campo Felice , Campo Imperatore , Ovindoli ) and a step away from National Parks in the region ( Abruzzo National Park , National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga , Majella National Park ) , without forgetting the protected areas and the many medieval villages to discover, to which the entire province is dotted .
